Image gallery of the very first shots I took with the RX10IV. No raw conversion so these are mostly straight out of the camera with the occasional crop ad little tweak. Also included are 100% crops to show the noise pattern and bokeh.
Years ago I bought the original RX100, replacing the Lumix LX3, a very nice little camera but it had terrible video. Back then the RX100 was still the great undiscovered ‘take anywhere’ camera. Perfect for hiking up a mountain as you can see from this picture on the left. Not the prettiest colors in the world, but excellent dynamic range, which is why it makes for a great BW shot.
There is something about walking in nature and looking and the wild animals. Taking pictures with the Sony A7RII and the Canon 100-400 with the metabones adapter works well for nature as long as it’s slow moving and I have time to focus manually. It is not too heavy when you use a monopod and it gets you close enough to shoot some nice photographs. [envira-gallery id=”1483″]
Sunset and surf: a small series of pictures shot in August with the A6500, metabones IV adapter and the canon 100-400mm. [envira-gallery id=”1390″]

It can get a little crazy here down the coast when the storm hits. Most people hide, but it also brings out the wind and kite surfers. The moment you see the windsurfers out in force you know the wind is going to blow hard! Shot with the A7RII, Metabones IV adapter and the Canon 100-400, shot at Scheveningen south beach during and after big storms.
