Commander Hadfield does triple cool: First music video from space!

He posted some of the coolest tweets (@Cmdr_Hadfieldfrom the International Space station, recorded the first song in space, but today (May12 2013) he put up the first music video ever shot in space: a cover of David Bowie’s “Space Oddity.” He tweeted:
“With deference to the genius of David Bowie, here’s Space Oddity, recorded on Station. A last glimpse of the World.”

You can only do one first music video from space and they knew it, its cool, fun and includes blockbuster flair!

Mr David Bowie referred to the cover as ‘possibly the most poignant version of the song ever created’.

Before his untimely death, David Bowie was instrumental in getting this video back on YouTube after a dispute with his publisher who owns the rights to this song.
